Gábor Juhász was born in Budapest on 16 February 1968. He started playing music at the age of 4.
He entered the jazz guitar faculty of the Béla Bartók Conservatory in 1988, where he was the student of Gyula Babos. He graduated in 1992. In 2003 he was admitted to the jazz guitar faculty of the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music.
He got acquainted and made friends with József Barcza Horváth, Kornél Fekete-Kovács, and Károly Binder at the Conservatory with whom he formed the band Pangea. He formed his next group, Tin-Tin Quartet with gadulka player Szabolcs Szőke, tabla player Péter Szalai and kaval player András Monori. When first Gergő Borlai, then Iván Nyusztay joined the band, they changed their name to Tin-Tin Quintet. They have given several concerts in Hungary and abroad.
Juhász has been writing music reviews on a regular basis since 1998. He played on, among others, the common CD of Márta Téli and Gábor Winand. He received an invitation from violin player Zoltán Lantos (who had returned from India) in 2002 to join his band, the Mirrorworld Quartet. There he plays with saxophonist Mihály Dresch, and percussionist Kornél Horváth. He was also a member of the band Bosambo. Curently he plays with Off Course, the Elemér Balázs Group, and since 2004 with the László Dés Septet.
