"In our recorder and piano recital featuring 20th-century and contemporary works, several types of recorders accompany the piano in an unusual and unique combination of instruments. The recorder, which enjoyed its golden age during the Renaissance and Baroque periods, blossoms in a new kind of chamber partnership in the 20th and 21st centuries: our program features rare and valuable 20th-century compositions as well as fresh contemporary works, and our unique, original transcriptions offer a new perspective on the genre and musical possibilities of the recorder. We would like to highlight that the recorder, which many still consider primarily a pedagogical tool, is also a valid instrument in a contemporary chamber music context, carrying traditions that span centuries and even millennia, yet surprisingly well suited to conveying the deepest and most modern musical content."
