Goffredo Petrassi was one of the greatest figures in 20th century Italian composition, a professor of composition at the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia, and a teacher of many of the great composers of the second half of the 20th century.
The event will feature solo piano works by the master and by his former students who became major contemporary Hungarian composers, such as Zsolt Durkó, Zoltán Jeney and András Szőllősy. The concert also commemorates the 90th anniversary of Zsolt Durkó's birth.
