Danubia Orchestra - Complete/Music/History
27 April 2024. 07:30 pm.
Liszt Academy - Grand Hall
1061 Budapest, Liszt Ferenc tér 8.
The orchestra embarked on an impossible, crazy and highly entertaining undertaking: they asked three distinguished composers to summarise the history of music in a concert programme. From prehistoric flutes to Madonna and beyond. What you can expect: a carnival cavalcade of familiar tunes set in the composers' own scheme, a medieval encyclopaedia of the stomach-churning concoction set between the sacred image and the naughty short story, a summary and play, a madcap cycle of humour and beauty. For those who love adventure and want to listen to forty thousand years of music in one evening, this concert is a must.
