Anna Mechler has adapted one of her most treasured folk tales having chosen the story in the belief that "you can almost hold the miracle in your hands”. This particular miracle has now been re-conceived by the composer Tamás Beischer-Matyó as a new choral work written for the Hungarian Radio Choir. The singers have been provided with an exciting task: in addition to the vocals, they will also move around and gesticulate during the performance - in fact, some of them will also play percussion instruments and even a flugelhorn. All while singing 10 to 12 vocal parts. With narration and direction from László Hevesi, the story, which is primarily - though not exclusively - designed for the 8-12 age group, will create an inimitable folk tale atmosphere on the stage. Another notable feature of this work is that the interactive elements and communal singing help involve the children in the story itself.
