Átlátszó Hang New Music Festival - “Ton für Ton” - Lecture of Theo Nabicht + Noise-wrangling #3 with Andrea
1. "Thon für Thon"
Lecture of Theo Nabicht (contrabass clarinet) with solo pieces by Gérard GRISEY, Bernhard GANDER, Iris ter SCHIPHORST és Rolf RIEHM
2. Noise-wrangling #3
Electro-acoustic concert of Andrea Szigetvári
The contrabass clarinet – a four-metre long instrument – specializes in low register sounds, although due to the nature of its physical dimensions and the curiosity symbolic of human creativity, it has been proven that practically the whole range of audible sound spectra can be performed on it. Berlin-based Theo Nabicht, a specialist in the instrument, will introduce a concert of solo compositions written in the last 30 years, starting with a piece composed in 1983 by one of the most eminent composers from the French spectralist school, Gérard Grisey. During the evening the audience will be introduced to different instrumental technique possibilities, and the compositional devices of the performed pieces. The concert will be introduced in German and Hungarian.
