Koka NIKOLADZE: Loud Piece for a Table and Some Junk on It, and Then for Heavily Banging
- Guest: Koka Nikoladze
It is always astonishing to see instruments that require no tactile contact from a musician (even if there is a clear creative connection between instrument and musician) being performed on. Norwegian-based Koka Nikoladze, a Georgian artist educated as a violinist, composer and technology developer, believes that the will of creating is one of the most dominant human instincts, and as such composes music and invents sound-making objects. His instruments are mostly created from simple everyday items that obey his intentions as if living beings. Plates, saucers, cups, tables and other gadgets will all come to life during his presentation at the BMC Library.
