Saxophone and Electronics Composition Competition Final

The 2024 Saxophone and Electronics Composition Competition is realized by the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań and the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest. The competition was open to current students of the two institutions, as well as students graduating in 2019 or later. The final of the competition will take place at the BMC, where the jury will select the first prize winner after a concert performance of the previously selected five best compositions. The winning composition will be presented at the 6th SaxEven International Festival in Poznań.

The 5 preselected compositions in alphabetical order:

Jan Juszczak: Niania
Ákos Lovász: Noise and Tones
Ágnes Klára Máthé: Ophonex
Kamil Grzegorz Polak: The Heart Sutra
Barbara Zach: C/1965 S1

The compositions will be performed by saxophone students of the two institutions.
