Musical heritage of Bartók and Beethoven - Concert of the Central European String Quartet

The members of the Central European String Quartet have forged to a unique, highly unified formation, which has been an active and significant participant in the Hungarian music scene since 2017. The members of the quartet have performed numerous times with renowned national and international orchestras and in the world's most important concert halls. Their work is characterised by innovative projects and exciting programs, and in 2018 they launched their first international composers' competition, which attracted 75 entries from 27 countries. The quartet is committed to supporting contemporary classical music and actively collaborates with living composers to create new works. Many composers from around the world apply to have their works performed by the renowned CESQ.

The quartet has been a regular guest at prestigious festivals such as the Valley of Arts and the MiraTone Festival and Academy, and has performed at iconic venues such as the Liszt Academy, Müpa Budapest, the Marble Hall of the Hungarian Radio, the Liszt Ferenc Memorial Museum, the Hungarian National Gallery, the Óbudai Társaskör and the Mirabell Castle in Salzburg, where they have performed with renowned artists.
