Balázs Bujtor graduated in 1999 as pupil of Natasa Sós at the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music.

From 1992 to 1997 he played in the chamber orchestra “Intermoduláció” (Intermodulation) conducted by László Tihanyi. In 1995 he joined the Danubia Symphony Orchestra, first he was leader of the second violin part, then from December 1996 to August 2007 he worked as concertmaster there. With this orchestra he gave a number of successful concerts in Hungary and abroad, and he had the chance to work with such conductors as János Fürst, Péter Eötvös or Sir Neville Marriner.

In 1995 he founded his string quartet and ever since he has given numerous classical and contemporary music concerts. In 2004 he recorded his first contemporary jazz album with the BMC label, which has been followed by many similar records. Among many others he has worked with Béla Szakcsi Lakatos, Gábor Gadó, Kálmán Oláh, Péter Erdélyi, Viktor Hárs, Gábor Winand and Kornél Fekete-Kovács. He co-operated on more than forty records.

Since 2001 he has composed music with Péter Élő to films, short movies and commercials. Since 2007 he’s been first concertmaster of the Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra.
