Mónika González graduated from the Franz Liszt Music Academy as a choir conductor, repetiteur and solo singer. Her vocal skills won her several international prizes, and she went on to perfect her knowledge through masterclasses and lessons with Joan Sutherland, Szilvia Geszty and Regina Resnik. She has sung the soprano lead of operas by Monteverdi, Peri, Cimarosa and Galuppi, mostly with the Budapest Chamber Opera or in the recording studio. She has performed in Donizetti, Mozart and Mussorgsky at the Budapest Opera House, and played Giaconda in Ligeti�s Le Grand Macabre. She was the lone female lead, Éva, in Bozay�s opera �Five last Scenes�. She was also a recipient of an Annie Fischer scholarship. In 2004, she released a CD of solo arias on the Hungaroton label. That same year, she sang the lead female role from Vivaldi�s opera �Il Tigrane� which was also released on CD.
