Jakobi László

He studied at the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music in 1971-76, where his teachers were László Mező, Frigyes Sándor and Ferenc Rados). Between 1976 and 83 he was member of the Hungarian Radio Orchestra, and he played them in the Carnegie Hall in NY, in the Kennedy Center in Washington, in London at the Royal Festival Hall, and in the Amsterdam Concertgebouw. Since 1982 he has been member of the Mandel Quartet, and also member of the EAR Chamber Ensemble from 1991. He made recordings with the Mandel Quartet at the Thorofon Company Germany and the Hungaroton. He has participated of the Bourges Festival in France, and played on the 1992 World Exhibition Opening Gala in Seville with the Mandel Quartet. He had solo concerts at the Academy of Music, Pesti Vigadó and in Vienna; with the Mandel Quartet in Mexico Cervantino Festival, Israel Jaffa Festival, and in Sweden, Spain, France, Italy, Andorra. He had several radio- (in Vatikan, Berlin, Vienna, Coppenhagen) and TV-appearances (Beyond 2000 Sky News. NDR-talkshow); Hungarian Radio Orchestra).
