Balogh-Jámbor Janka

Janka Balogh-Jámbor is an active soloist and chamber musician, she has received her diplomas from the Academies in Budapest (with Prof. László Mező) and in Berlin (with Prof. Wolfgang Boettcher). At the age 14 she was accepted to the Franz Liszt Academy of Music as an exceptional young talent student. A prizewinner of numerous international competitions, including Concorso Europeo International Cello Competition (Gorizia, Italy) and the David Popper International Cello Competition (Hungary).
Janka was the member of the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester (2013-2015) and the European Union Youth Orchestra (2012-2013). She took part at International Orchestra Institute in Attergau and the Encuentro de Música y Academia de Santander Festival, where she had opportunity to play with musicians such as Corinne Chapelle, Natacha Kudritskaya and Marco Rizzi.
Janka is playing on a cello aus der Vuillaume Schule as a scholarship winner of the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben Hamburg. She is currently studying at the Doctoral School of the Franz Liszt Academy.
