Born in 1987 in Hungary, Marton Juhasz started playing percussion at age eleven. He was enrolled into a state run classical music program where he studied with Istvan Mizsak. During his first year he was recruited for the schools concert brass band, with whom he won second prize at the National Hungarian Concert Brass Band Competition in 2002. He was also a member of the schools percussion ensemble, participating in many competitions, taking national third prize with the group in 2005. At the end of his studies in the program he won national first prize for solo percussion in 2005. At age 14 he started taking drumset lessons from Hungarian session drummer Zsolt Janky and later from Gyorgy Jeszenszky. During this time Marton was a member of progressive rock band Custom Made, performing extensively in clubs and festivals throughout Hungary. After graduating from high school he enrolled in a one year performance diploma course at Drumtech in London. There he got a chance to fully immerse himself in music and study with teachers like Bosco Di Oliveira, Darryn Farrugia, Erik Stams and Francis Seriau. At the end of the year he was awarded prize for top overall student and had a chance to perform at the graduation ceremony, held in the prestigious Shepherds Bush Empire in London. It was during this year in London that Marton decided to make music his life's pursuit. In 2007 he was accepted to Berklee College of Music in Boston. During his time at the college he had the opportunity to study with Mike Mangini, Hal Crook, Dave Dicenso, Ian Froman and Jamey Haddad. He graduated summa cum laude in 2011 and spent a year in the Boston - New York areas. In August 2012 he relocated to Europe. In 2014 Marton began his masters studies in Vienna at the Konservatorium Wien Privatuniversität der Stadt under the direction of Mario Gonzi.
