His music studies were completed at the National Conservatory.
He played with the Martiny Band from 1951 till 1961. Since that time, he has played with various groups: Andor Kovács Band, Gonda-Kruza Quartet, Aladár Pege Band, Csaba Deseő, János Kőrőssy, László Turán and with György Gallus.
His most important performances have been at the Bled (Yugoslavia) and Prag Jazz Jazz Festivals in 1964, Bilzen Festival (Belgium) in 1969, Berlin in 1970, and the Budapest Hot Club Concert.
He was a teacher of the Jazz faculty of Béla Bartók Conservatory in Budapest. His musical style includes swing and avantgarde.
