He was born in Nyíregyháza in 1976. He graduated as an artist and teacher at the Jazz Department of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in 2003 as a student of (among others) Dezső Selényi. At the same time he became a member of the legendary dance orchestra of the Hungarian Radio, Stúdió 11. In spring 2005 he was the only musician to represent Hungary in the international tour of the big band of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
In 2007, he was awarded the Artisjus Prize for his work in the interpretation of contemporary music. In 2024, he was also awarded the Artisjus Prize as a member of Studio 11, as the group's 60th anniversary concert was chosen the best production of the year.
