László Paulik received his degree at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, Budapest, and then continued his studies in Vienna. While a student he began to study historical performing practice and later attended the early music courses led by Simon Standage. He is a founding member of the chamber ensemble Concerto Armonico. From 1993 on, he has been leader and soloist of Orfeo Orchestra led by György Vashegyi. He gives concerts regularly in Europe both as a soloist and a member of various chamber ensembles, and has released several CD recordings.
In 2019 he received the Ferenc Liszt Prize.
