Balla Endre
piano
Endre Balla was born in 1956. He completed his studies at the jazz piano department of the Béla Bartók Conservatory in 1985. Soon he joined the band Trespassers, then in 1996 he formed his own trio with bassist Sándor Szász and drummer László Bóna. In 1997 the trio was extended to a quartet when they invited István Elek saxophone player, and besides penning original compositions, they reworked several pop hits of the 1960s with a unique jazz standard-like approach with singer Bea Tisza. Depending on the line up László Studniczky plays his bass either as a solo or as an accompanying instrument.
