Pálinkás Péter

Péter Pálinkás was born on 20 July 1980 in Budapest in a family of musicians and teachers. His mother is a teacher, his father a singing teacher, singer and conductor. His brother, László Pálinkás, is also a musician, a member of the National Choir, with whom he teaches at the Szent István Király Music School.
Péter Pálinkás studied piano at the Szent István Király Music School from 1987 to 1989 with Tiborné Füzesséry, and from 1989 to 1994 with Csabáné Deseő. From 1993 to 1994 he learnt to play the trombone with Csaba Tóth. Between 1994 and 1998 he continued his trombone studies with Pál Makovecz at the Szent István Király Music Secondary School. In 1998 he was admitted to the trombone faculty of the Liszt Ferenc University of Music in Debrecen, where he studied with Ferenc Kócziás for one year, and from 1999 to 2003 he continued his studies at the trombone faculty of the Budapest Teacher Training Institute of the Liszt Ferenc University of Music as a student of Tivadar Sztán.
In 1998 he took part in the International Brass Festival in Nagykovácsi, in 2001 in Armin Bachmann's masterclass in Budapest and in 2002-2003 in Edgar Manyak's masterclass in Szekszárd within the framework of the International Brass Days.
In 2002 he won a special prize at the National College Trombone Competition in Debrecen, where he was also awarded second prize a year later.
He is a founding member of the Corpus Trombone Quartet, founded in 2001, with whom he has won prestigious prizes in various international competitions, recorded 6 albums, and given concerts and master classes worldwide.
Since 2002, he has been a trombone teacher at the Szent István Király Music Secondary School in Zugló, and since 2008 he has been a trombone player with the Dohnányi Ernő Symphony Orchestra in Budafok.
He has also received numerous awards as a member of the Corpus Trombone Quartet:
