Austrian violist Elmar Landerer studied the violin with Vladislav Markovic in Innsbruck and Michael Schnitzler in Vienna and since 1994 the viola with Peter Ochsenhofer. He was in 1990 the youngest member of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra and the orchestra of the United Europe. Since 1996 member of the Orchestra of the Vienna State Opera and the Vienna Philharmonic. Since 1999 member of the Wiener Philharmonia Trio and member of the Wiener Virtuosen.
