Enigmatic unity is based on the very special, even strange connection of the two instruments it is composed for. The two instruments (and the performers) should try to find each other and unify in their timbres and articulation in Movement I and release themselves in Movement II. The enigma in the piece refers to the names of the dedicatee couple. (Balázs Horváth)
