"This work consists of four poetic allusions—four movements inspired by anonymous pre-Hispanic poetry, roughly 600 years old. Although no text is sung, these allusions are evoked and brought to life by the percussion quartet. They can thus be understood as songs without words." (Aurés Moussong)
