Mexican-Hungarian composer, Aurés Moussong studied Composition first in Mexico City, then earned his Master’s degree in Music Composition at the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest and the University of the Arts in Berlin through the Erasmus program. Between 2022 and 2024 he pursued a two-year postgraduate specialization in composition with Daniel D’Adamo at the Conservatoire de Strasbourg.

In 2021, his percussion quartet "Desde el lugar del misterio" won the prestige Ibermusicas composition competition. The following year, he secured the second prize in the composition competition held by the China-CEEC Music Academies with his work for ensemble “Uncertain Journey to the Tai Shan”. Later that same year, he was awarded first prize at the Egidio Carella Composition Competition organized by Fondazione Val Tidone Musica. More recently, his wind quintet "Rhythmic Thoughts" earned him first prize from the Hungarian Composers Association and the Winds of Central Europe. In 2025 he was a finalist at the prestigious Basel Composition Competition. He studied with Dieter Ammann at the Hochschule Luzern – Musik in Switzerland during an intensive six-month period and is currently living in Lyon, France.
