Remarks, other info
Written for the Liszt Academy’s 150th anniversary, the piece employs the timeless form of the passacaglia. Its foundation is a constantly recurring musical texture, serving as a symbolic “seed” from which evolving layers, motifs, and colours emerge. The musical idea gradually grows, eventually becoming a tree that reaches to the sky: its roots anchored in tradition, its canopy stretching toward the future, tracing “celestial pathways” into the heavens.
