Remarks, other info
"Hydra, also known as the Water Snake, is the largest and most elongated constellation in the night sky. It winds its way south of the celestial equator, below the ecliptic. The best time to observe it is in spring and early summer, but it remains low on the horizon. As Hydra has no spine, it is constantly changing shape as it searches for itself. The opening motif of the English horn reflects this. Hydra wants to break free from its limitations. It aspires to become a ´real´ vertebrate animal and is always on the lookout for opportunities to do so. Will it succeed in overcoming its limitations? This composition seeks to answer that question."
