Remarks, other info
This piece is inspired in Robert Burton´s book: The Anatomy of Melancholy (1638). It is shaped in twelve verses which show different perspectives of melancholy (miserably and unpleased, pleased, terrified as possible, etc.) and which end up in a dramatic final with the suicide of the character. All and each one of the verses are framed by a final formular which slightly changes depending on the verse:
"All my joys to this are folly,
Naught so sweet as melancholy."
