Remarks, other info
The players sit in a line as spread out as possible across the stage with the cb. in the middle. The remaining 10 instruments are divided into 2 identical groups of 5 on both sides of the bass and sit in the order of pitch-level, with the lowest pitched one nearest to the bass. The relationship between the bass and the two ensembles is comparable with the relationship between the soloists and the orchestra in a Baroque concerto.
