He was studying at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music s musicologist and choir conductor in 1974-79. Since 1984 he has been working at the Institute of Musicology of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He played harpsicord at the Budapest Strings Orchestra between 1982 and 1989. Now he is a junior lecturer of the Church Music Department of the Liszt Academy. He has been taching in the Schola Cantirum Budapestiensis since its foundation, 1984.
