Program notes:
Nabû-kudurri-uṣur, namely Nabucodnezar II (He ruled from 605 B.C. to 562 B.C., in Babylon.) He was the second best known king of the Empire of New Babylon. Once in his dream the king saw a huge sculpture. The sculpture was shining brightly but it had a terrible face. The music is a draughting of the dream. It is written down in Daniel’s Book (in Holy Bible). The music is vision of an apocalyptic future. Its form is A-B-A. |
