The creation of a composition is usually a lengthy process. The actual composition may only take two days, but once the idea is born and the piece is outlined, its construction often takes much longer. And afterwards, discovering the work's system of connections can be at least as exciting for the author as it is for the audience.
At Balázs Horváth's recital, most of the works performed have a long but clearly traceable process behind them. On this occasion, the composer will not only briefly shed light on the background history of the works, but will also present some compositions from several perspectives, almost analytically, as the evening will also be Horváth's inaugural lecture at the Széchenyi Academy of Letters and Arts.
There will be several works that have never been performed in Budapest or Hungary before. We can also listen to Ariannaas a premiere. The composer described the piece as a "post-neoclassical mono-cantata".

The concert is supported by the National Cultural Fund and the Budapest Music Center.

Free entry! Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
