In keeping with tradition, this year’s master class organized by the Peter Eötvös Contemporary Music Foundation will be accompanied by a meet-and-greet, where the course’s guest professor, composer Thomas Adès, will present his musical vision and compositional methods. His cycle Növények (Plants), to Hungarian poems, will be performed by Katalin Károlyi and members of the UMZE Ensemble as a Hungarian premiere, and the audience will also have the opportunity to hear several other works by the British composer via recording.
The event’s host is music historian Gergely Fazekas; the language of the talks is English.
