"Guitarist and composer Dávid Pavlovits has performed as a soloist in more than thirty countries across four continents, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Cairo Opera House, the Gnessin Music Academy in Moscow, and the Shanghai Conservatory, as well as in Los Angeles, Washington, Montreal, São Paulo, and Puerto Rico.

He is a prize winner at several international music competitions; he has collaborated with György Kurtág, among others, and has performed as a soloist with the Ferenc Liszt Chamber Orchestra and, in the U.S., with the UMZE ensemble under the baton of Péter Eötvös. As an electronic music composer, he was commissioned by SONY Pictures Television.

He is also recognized as a classical composer; his compositions and arrangements have been published by French, Canadian, and German publishers.
He was awarded the Artisjus Prize for his contributions to contemporary music. He speaks eight foreign languages and teaches courses worldwide. He is an associate professor and department chair at the Faculty of Music at the University of Szeged.

The evening’s guest, Zoltán Bácsy-Schwartz, is one of the outstanding young violinists on the contemporary Hungarian classical music scene. He became known to Hungarian audiences through the classical music talent show Virtuózok. Born in Maastricht, he earned his degree from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music - where he began his studies at the age of fourteen in the academy’s class for exceptionally talented students. As a soloist, he has performed with renowned ensembles, including the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra, the MÁV Symphony Orchestra, the Danubia Orchestra, the Miskolc Symphony Orchestra, the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra, and the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.

He has made guest appearances in Moscow, London (Covent Garden), Montreal, Toronto, Paris, Brussels, and Berlin. In addition to his performances in Hungary, he regularly gives solo recitals in the Netherlands, where he is pursuing postgraduate studies under the guidance of Maestro Boris Belkin.
As a chamber musician, he has collaborated with such renowned artists as Barnabás Kelemen, Kristóf Baráti, István Várdai, Jonathan Cohen, Mirjam Schröder, and Camille Thomas."
