MUSIC FROM THE COURT OF FREDERICK THE GREAT - RECITAL BY TÍMEA FÁBIÁN AND RÓZA BENE

24 May 2024, 6:00 pm
Budapest Music Center - Library
1093 Budapest, Mátyás utca 8.

Tímea Fábián and Róza Bene will present a three-part concert series of the main stylistic trends of Baroque flute-harpsichord sonatas in a program with German, French sonatas and sonatas by Johann Sebastian Bach.

The sonatas will include solo harpsichord works in all three concerts, which, in addition to the "duo sonatas", will cast a broader light on the given style as a genre counterpoint.

Tímea Fábián will play on period insruments: a Buffardin flute made by Martin Wenner and another flute, the Denner-Stanesby model, made by Philippe-Allain Dupré. Róza Bene will play the BMC Library's harpsichord, built by Titus Krijnen in 2022. The instrument is a copy of a 1640 model by Anton Rückers.
