Concert of World Civic Orchestra

The World Civic Orchestra was founded in New York in 2010 and has performed annually since its inaugural performance at Carnegie Hall. The orchestra has 400 registered members representing more than 20 countries, with 70-100 members attending each concert. After playing at the Lincoln Center in New York, the Kaufmann Music Center, the National Theatre in Taipei and the Dvořák Hall at the Rudolfinum in Prague, the orchestra is now coming to Budapest to perform for Hungarian audiences at the Liszt Academy. During the evening, the musicians will be led by two musicians. Vincent Koh was born in Japan to Korean parents. He started playing the violin in Japan and continued his musical studies in the USA. He studied conducting at the Prague Conservatory, where he recently made his European debut as a conductor with the Prague Virtuosi. In addition to conducting the World Civic Orchestra, Tomo Matsuo is the Music Director of the New York City Orchestra of Doctors and the 92nd Street Y Orchestra. He began studying music at the age of six and went on to study at Juilliard and Yale Universities.
