Ildikó Cs. Nagy finished her musical studies at the Liszt Ferenc Music Academy in Budapest, where her teachers were Edit Hambalkó, György Nádor, Sándor Devich and András Mihály. She took her art degree there in 1992. With a scholarship, she also participated in the master courses of the Illinois State University (USA) in 1990-1992 as a student of Gellért Módos and Ko Iwasaki. She earned her diploma Master of Music in 1992.
She has been a piano teacher, first at the Music Conservatory of Győr in 1992-93, later at the Kodály Institute in Bilbao (Spain), and since 1994 she has been teaching the piano at the secondary school of music in Vác as well as at the Liszt Ferenc Music Academy at the Teachers Training Faculty. As a chamber musician, she regularly gives concerts in Hungary as well as abroad. She has CD recordings with violinist Márta Ábrahám as well as clarinetist Csaba Klenyán at the BMC.
