The hungarian pianist Zsuzsa Kollár is a very much thought after Artist for performances and recordings in the international musicscene and brings her artistic and musical approach to highest critical acclaim to a wide audience: ´´...the natural flow gives the recording a flair of round, sensitive, well thought through and deeply felt Schubert playing!´´ - Fono Forum.
In 1974 Zsuzsa Kollár won the 1st Prize in the International Competition for young Pianists in Usti - nad Labem and she also won many International Prizes as a Piano Duo together with Gabriella Láng and established a career as an exceptional chamber music player:

These awards lead to wide concert tours throughout middle Europe (Czechoslovakia, Austria, Hungary just to mention a few) and regular radio recordings in the main studios in Germany; Bavaria Radio Company, Radio Cologne and Radio Saarland. ´´Virtuoso correspondence! The Kollár - Lang Duo in the Emperor´s Hall´´ Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
She also performed several times in Canada touring in Vancouver and Victoria and appearing together with the Calgary Phiharmonic Orchestra.
Zsuzsa Kollár has made already CD recordings for international labels such as Naxos and Koch-Schwann (works by Mozart, Schubert, Reger, Busch etc.)and Hungaroton (Koessler, Moór, Seiber).
Starting in 1987 as a founding member of ´´Componensemble´´ a group specialising in contemporary music; she premiered many works by living composers and is also invited to perform frequently Solo and chamber-music in Hungarian Radio.
Zsuzsa Kollár was born in Budapest and at an early age she was accepted in the class for ´´High-Talented Young Musicians´´ at the Liszt Academy in her home town. In 1977 she started her further education as a student of the Jenő Jandó and from 1982-84 she continued her studies with Alfons Konstarsky in Munich and at the ´´Mozarteum University in Salzburg. In between she also received a scholarship by the recommendation of György Sebők to live in the Banff Centre-School of Fine Arts in Canada to realize artistical ideas through intense performing schedule. From 1987 throughout 1999 she attended regularly the masterclasses of György Sebők in Ernen (Schwitzerland) who had a main influence on her approach to musicmaking and teaching.
