1972 Born in Budapest, Hungary.
1979 Began playing accordion, self-taught.
1985 Began playing guitar, self-taught.
1986 Formed his first group in which he recorded his first compositions.
1987 Began taking lessons at a music school in Budapest with S(a)ndor Horanyi.
1992 Entered the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Budapest. In the department of Jazz he studied with guitarist Gyula Babos.
1996 Entered the National Conservatory of Advanced Music of Paris, France (Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris). He worked with Francois Jeanneau, Daniel Humair, Riccardo del Fra, and J-F Jenny-Clark. He participated in workshops with Ornette Coleman,Dave Liebman, Ritchie Beirach, Adam Nussbaum, Kenny Wheeler, as well as others.
1999 Between 1999 and 2003, he played with various ensembles in Paris, France including Christophe Monniot, Orchestre Europe-Afrique, Orchestre National de Jazz. Toured France with a theatre group" Phenix "accompanying singers. Composed songs, scored two short films, and wrote music for a theatrical play.Work with the singer Laurent Madiot as guitar player and musical director, and with the singer Bonzom as giutar player and composer.
2000 Graduated with Diploma of Music from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris.
Founded Grupa Palotai, a music ensemble that regularly tours France and Hungary.
2003 Released his first album "Minimyths" with Grupa Palotai on the label BMC. "Minimyths" is a CD composed by Csaba Palotai for trio, quartet, and quintet.
