                        						Bass Péter Fried was born in Ózd, Northern Hungary, in 1960. He studied at the Music Academy from 1980 to 1987, when he joined the Opera House as a solo singer. He is now also well known as an oratorio and concert artist. He has worked as a guest in Austria, France, Switzerland and Germany. He has a wide repertoire and has mastered such roles as Bartolo (Marriage of Figaro), Ozmin (Il Seraglio), Collin (La Boheme), Sparafuccile (Rigoletto) and the Prince (Blue Beards Castle). He frequently appears in contemporary operas, one of his recent roles being Angiolieri (Mario and the Magician).
