The percussionist Gábor Pusztai was born in 1976. He completed his studies at the Franz Liszt Music Academy in 2001. In 1999 he finished in second place at the Brno International Competition. He frequently performs with the Amadinda Percussion Ensemble and collaborated on the set of recordings of John Cages percussion oeuvre. Since 1994 he has worked with several theatre and dance groups as both musician and composer. He works regularly for the National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Budapest Festival Orchestra and the Danubia Youth Orchestra.
In March 2024, he was awarded the shared Kossuth Prize as a member of the Misztral Ensemble.
