Guitarist Ádám Mészáros was born on November 9, 1982. He is originally from Biharkeresztes, from where he moved to Debrecen and then to Budapest. His first band was Monchichi Potenciál, in which he played with András Süli and Gábor Subicz at local clubs; they also opened for Heaven Street Seven and Amorf Ördögök. It was there that Ambrus Tövisházi (director of Amorf Ördögök and Erik Sumó) took notice of him and invited him to play guitar for Erik Sumó, which had just formed in late 2005. He also played a few concerts with Amorf Ördögök, then made his debut in 2007 with Péterfy Bori & Love Band, where he played guitar for seven years, until 2014. In 2012, he founded the JÜ Trio with bassist Ernő Hock and drummer András Halmos. In 2014, he moved to Berlin with his family and bassist Ernő Hock. With JÜ, they performed in several European countries and played at jazz festivals.

Eventually, for personal reasons, he returned to Hungary, where he began performing more frequently, now in a more improvisational, jazz-oriented setting. Since then, he has played in bands such as Mabon Dawud Republic, Qiyan, Saïd Chalaban and Tariqa, among others. In addition to concerts and performances, he has been creative in other areas as well; for example, he composed the soundtrack for Renátó Olasz’s film "To Every Star".

His other band, Szodé, made its debut at Lumen in late 2025. Szodé often works with melodies and motifs drawn from folk music, incorporating elements ranging from Hungarian to African and Kurdish folk traditions.

Over the past decade, he has also developed a unique and innovative soundscape with the JÜ Trio, blending the freedom of free and avant-garde jazz, the energy of post-rock and noise rock, experimental noise music, and various folk music influences. Their instrumental compositions are dynamic and multi-layered, with collective improvisation serving as one of the primary guiding principles in their creative process. Their first album, a collaboration with Kjetil Møster titled "Jü Meets Møster", was released to great acclaim in experimental music circles internationally. They released their second album, "Summa", in 2017, followed by their third, titled "III", in 2021, both on London-based RareNoise Records. Following a change in labels, their fourth album, "Rudel" was released in 2025 on BMC Records.
