Berta Bánki began her musical studies in 2002 at the Lajtha László Elementary Art School under the guidance of Andrea Sáfár. She continued her studies in 2008 at the Kodály Zoltán Secondary School of Music in Kecskemét as a student of Bea Berényi and Ákos Dratsay. Her accompanists were Katalin Éliás and Éva Madarász. In 2012, she was accepted to the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, where she studied under professors Erika Sebők and Zsolt Romos, and her accompanists were Rita Termes, József Gábor, and Anna Granik. Her diploma concert took place on May 2, 2017, at the Academy of Music. On May 19, 2025, she presented her dissertation entitled Beyond the Canon - Melis-Jeles: The Empire of Smiles in her DLA doctoral workshop.
Between 2016 and 2017, she was an Erasmus scholarship student at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold (her teachers were János Bálint and Benjamin Plag). She participated in masterclasses given by renowned artists such as András Adorján, János Bali, Dejan Gavric, Márta Gulyás, Rita Wagner, István Barth, János Bálint, Gábor Csalog, Ákos Dratsay, Zoltán Gyöngyössy, András Kemenes, Carol Wincenc, Ildikó Kertész, Bernadett Nagy (piccolo), and Jean-Louis Beaumadier (piccolo).
She has participated in several music competitions and achieved the following rankings: 2010 - IX. National Flute Competition in Memory of Tihamér Elek, 3rd prize / 2015 - I. In-House Flute Competition in Memory of Zoltán Gyöngyössy, 3rd prize / 2015 - OMDK "The relationship between performing and creative arts as reflected in the life's work of Zoltán Gyöngyössy", 2nd prize.
She has performed with such renowned orchestras as Concerto Budapest, the Óbuda Danubia Orchestra, the MÁV Symphony Orchestra, the Savaria Symphony Orchestra, THReNSeMBle, Musiciens Libres, the Concerto Armonico Chamber Orchestra and the Anima Musicae Chamber Orchestra. She is a regular performer with the UMZE Chamber Ensemble, which plays contemporary classical music, and the Dániel Szabó Nonet, which plays contemporary jazz. She is the second flutist of the Hungarian State Opera Orchestra and has been a member of the Budafok Ernő Dohnányi Symphony Orchestra since 2017.
