Pianist Márta Gulyás studied at the Franz Liszt Music Academy with István Lantos and Erzsébet Tusa, before attending the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatoire where her professor was the legendary Dmitri Bashkirov. In 1985, she won the Hungarian Culture Prize and in 1998, was given the Liszt Prize in recognition of her artistic work. For many years, she has taught at the Budapest Music Academy, and is currently the director of the chamber music faculty. She olds master classes regular in Hungary and abroad, and has released many CDs for the Hungaroton company. She accompanies many leading Hungarian and international figures in chamber music recitals in Hungary and the world´s leading concert halls.
