Valentin Magyar was born in 2000. His father was a jazz pianist, his mother was a jazz singer. He started to learn music when he was six. He learnt in the Márk Rózsavölgyi Music School from Ildikó Somogyvári.
He moved to Budapest in 2013 and continued his studies in the Aladár Tóth Music School as a pupil of Gábor Eckhardt. He studied in the Liszt Academy of Music.
He won the 1st place in 2013 in the National Piano Competition of Nyíregyháza. He was a semifinalist in the Virtuosos Classical Talent Show in 2014. In 2020 the Annie Fischer Scholarship has been granted to him and he won the first prize in Yamaha Competition. In 2021 he was awarded with Junior Prima Prize. In 2022 he won Zoltán Kocsis Prize of the Liszt Academy of Music.
