Cellist András Péter Kárász grew up in Várpalota. It was there that he began his musical studies with Gabriella Szili, with whom he studied for four years; he then continued his training at the music school in Székesfehérvár. From the age of 14, he was a student at the King Saint Stephen Secondary School of Music in Budapest, and later was accepted into Katalin Sín’s class at the College of Music in Szeged. He graduated with honors. Shortly thereafter, he was accepted into the Zugló Philharmonic and the European Union Youth Orchestra, with which he performed both in Hungary and abroad - for example in France - and subsequently traveled the world by ship. Upon his return, he was employed by the Zugló Philharmonic starting in 2012, and later by the Petőfi Theater in Veszprém. He has been a member of the Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra since 2013, its principal cellist since 2018, and its artistic advisor since 2024. He has been playing with the Alba Regia Symphony Orchestra in Székesfehérvár since 2015 and with Concerto Armonico Budapest since 2013.

He is the founder of the V'ART Festival, which hosted a highly successful series of four concerts in 2024. In 2025 five concerts were announced in response to the high level of interest.
