Tamás Bartók began his musical studies at the Aelia Sabina School of Music, Fine Arts and Dance, a primary arts education institution in Budapest. His teachers included such renowned artists as Margit Kutasi, Enikő Czelleczné Bitay, János Bródy, Helga Fáth, Ottó Till, László Nógrády, László Héja, and Benedek Héja. He completed his secondary school studies at the Árpád Secondary School in Budapest between 2001 and 2005. He continued his training at the Béla Bartók Conservatory and High School, where he graduated in 2009 with a degree in viola under Vera Czettner, János Fejérvári, and Erika Tóth. In 2009, he was accepted to the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest (professors: Ágnes Nagy, János Rolla, Pál Éder, Barnabás Dukay). In June 2012, he earned his BA degree with honors. In September 2012, he began his MMA master's program at the same institution.

He has been a permanent member of the Anima Musicae Chamber Orchestra since 2012, with whom he regularly performs both in Hungary and abroad. He has played in such renowned ensembles as the Szervánszky String Quartet, the Fugato Orchestra, and the Creative Musicians' Society.
