Kallai Nóra

Nóra Kallai was born in 1971 in Veszprém, Hungary, graduated from the Music Faculty of the Szeged University as a cellist in 1993. From that year to 1997 she studied the viol at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Graz with Lorenz Duftschmid. From 1998 to 2000 she was a student of Wieland Kuijken at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel and took a degree as a viol artist in 2000. She also studied the Baroque cello there for one year.
Nóra Kallai attended several summer courses with Jordi Savall, Balázs Máté and Irmelin Heiseke, among others. She has played a lot of concerts all over Europe with several early music ensembles, e. g. Accentus Wien, Aura Musicale, Armonico Tributo, the EUBO, Savaria Baroque, Orfeo Chamber Orchestra and Capella Savaria, and has taken part in many CD recordings in Hungary and abroad. She performed twice at Stadttheater Klagenfurt as a continuo player in baroque opera productions.
