Kinga Gáborjáni Szabó graduated from the Liszt Academy of Music with a bachelor's degree in cello and continued her postgraduate studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where she graduated with distinction in 2007 in the class of Jennifer Ward Clarke (baroque cello) and Richard Cambell (viola da gamba).
As an orchestral musician, she has performed with a number of British early music ensembles throughout the United Kingdom and has toured the world. She has played cello, viola da gamba and lirone with the English Baroque Soloists under Sir John Eliot Gardiner since 2008 and has been principal cellist since 2022. She was Principal Cellist of English Touring Opera for ten years and has also been an invited principal cellist with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and English Concert, among others. She has also appeared as a soloist with modern cello in concerts at the Barbican Theatre. She is a member of several chamber ensembles, including the Newe Vialles viola da gamba consort and the Boscobel String Quartet, and is regularly commissioned as a soloist. She teaches and gives masterclasses internationally.
Since 2005 she has been living in the United Kingdom where she has attended numerous coach training courses, holds a diploma in transformational coaching and is a recognised life coach in addition to his work as a musician and teacher.
