Földesi Péter

He was born in 1981. He started his studies in Hatvan, in the Zoltán Kodály Music Primary School. At age of nine he got accepted to the Albert Kocsis Music School, where his teacher became Mrs. Dr. Pálos Jolán Mester. At grade seven, Albert Kocsis, violinist professor offered him a scholarship to his own masterclass in Austria. His teacher there was Hossein Samieian from Lichtenstein. He returned to this own masterclass and course since then, every year.
He continued his studies in Kecskemét, in the Zoltán Kodály Secondary Music Shool, in Ákos Dratsays class. In 2000 he got accepted to the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest, where his professor was Henrik Prőhle.

Besides the classical flute repertoire he pays special attention to the contemporary music and the new directions of flute playing.
He interpreted several pieces from numerous young, contemporary composers: Gergely Barta, György Bartók, Marcell Dargay, Dániel Dinyés, Balázs Futó, Balázs Horváth, Márton Levente Horváth, Barna Szabó, László Szekeres, Ákos Zarándy, Péter Zombola.
In 2003 in the organization of CAMI he took part in a concert tour with The London City Opera the USA.
