Born in September, 1983 in Budapest. He started to play the guitar with through self-teaching. At the age of 12, he started to study classical guitar at the Music School of the 12th Discrict, his tutors were Szilvia Gyelmis and Istvan Győri.
He was fascinated by the chance of freedom in jazz music, so he went on to study jazz from Gabor Juhasz, whose suggestive playing made Balint Gyemant committed to jazz music eventually. After finishing secondary school, Balint started the Music Art School of Kobanya. There he spent two years, his tutor was Ferenc Tornóczky.
His first jazz band was formed in those days with Adam Bornemissza (bass) and Bendeguz Varga(drum).
Nowadays Balint Gyemant plays with the Diamond Trio, and a pop band called Vidampark. Occasionally, he also plays with other bands.
As of 2004, he has been studying at the Liszt Ferenc Music Art University, and his tutors are Gyula Babos and Sandor Horanyi.
His biggest influences are except his tutors Pat Metheny, John Scofield, Michel Petrucciani and Keith Jarrett.
