Péter Árkosi was born on March 30, 1976, in Szeged. He began his jazz studies privately, with János Solti, Tamás Berdisz, Iván Nesztor and Imre Kőszegi as his teachers. He graduated from the Jazz Department of the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. As a frequent performer on the Hungarian pop music scene, he has played with numerous bands (Djoliba 2000, Road Kill Cafe, Princess, Egyszercsak, David Klezmer Quintet). In addition, he has appeared as an actor in several theater productions (Kicsi-Krétakör). He composed the music for director Szabolcs Hajdu’s 2004 drama film Tamara. He also appeared in the film Svik (2009), directed by Häkon Gundersen.
